Duke Bookings is pleased to be working with Governors Bridge Glamping and Camping site to offer premier glamping options for the annual Southern 100 International Road Races!

Known as “The friendly races,” the Southern 100 is held each July on the challenging 4.25-mile Billown Circuit located in the South of the Isle of Man near Castletown. The event attracts road racing fans from across the world and is the ideal event to visit the Island a month after the main TT races.

We’re excited to introduce our Premier Glamping Pods for the Southern 100. These 5m Bell Tents with handcrafted beds provide a cozy and comfortable base for your trip:

Comfortable Sleeping: Pods feature marine plywood twin beds (2 x single beds), ensuring a great night’s rest after a day of adrenaline-fueled racing action.

📍 Location & The Billown Course

Our Glamping site is situated in the heart of Douglas, just a 2-minute walk from Governor’s Bridge, providing convenient access to amenities and island transport links.

The races take place in the South of the Island:

Travel to the Races: The Billown Circuit is approximately a 25-minute ride/drive from our Douglas site via the main roads (A5). You can also utilise the island’s bus network or the heritage Isle of Man Steam Railway, which runs from Douglas to Castletown.

The Billown Circuit: A Road Racing Gem

The Southern 100 course, known as the Billown Circuit, is a celebrated fixture in the road racing calendar:

Length: The course measures 4.25 miles (6.84 km).

Location: It is based on public roads outside of Castletown, encompassing parts of the A5, A28, A7, and A3 roads.

The Challenge: Unlike the larger TT Mountain Course, Billown is a tight, undulating, and technical circuit that demands extreme precision. It features a mix of high-speed straights and challenging corners like the tight Ballabeg Hairpin and the notorious crossroads at Cross Four Ways, offering superb close-quarters viewing for fans.
