The year 2000 saw Joey Dunlop achieve his legendary final TT victories. At 48, he won the Formula 1 TT on his Honda SP1, then added 250cc and 125cc wins for a career total of 26 TT victories.

25 years later, the 2025 Classic TT is bringing that magic back with immersive experiences, exhibitions, and tributes.

Joey’s 2000 Formula 1 TT was more than a win; it was a statement. He outpaced young talents like David Jefferies and John McGuinness, proving that heart and skill ruled the Mountain Course. He finished nearly 15 seconds ahead of Michael Rutter, cementing his title as “The King of the Mountain.”

A Dunlop Legacy Lap

On Friday, August 29th, Michael Dunlop, Joey’s nephew and the most successful TT rider, will perform a special demonstration lap on a replica of Joey’s 2000 factory Honda VTR SP1. It’s a powerful connection between two generations of racing royalty.
